Last night's presentation at Powell's presents Schermer as a misguided self appointed "skeptic" (as he refers to himself and his magazine).

His presentation on the "Mind of the Market" was a self indictment of his own making. He represents the human project as a completely natural process of social darwinism, which included things such as being advanced by self co-opting to processes of self acceptance by others. He certainly has been co-opted by the "official story of 9-11" with no account of how power develops in this very process. He "flags" his magazine debuking the 9-11 in front of the crowd, as if the alternative theory of 9-11 has been laid to rest by his arrogance.Then, he proceeds to cut off any discussion, even, of his findings or "evidence." ---and three of us disrupted him . . .
