First I would like to compliment the video editors at WeAreChangeSeattle.org for their very professional products coming out of Seattle.
I would like to have seen the Arron Russo Tribute made as a separate file and posted on YouTube. It is a great piece on it's own and should be distributed as such.
After the tribute ended and the piece on Bush in Seattle started in a way characteristic of WeAreChangeSeattle with general shots identifying the area (in Seattle) with a song playing in the background.
I was shocked when the song started after a passionate talk excerpted from Dr. Martin Luther King. At first all I could hear was fuck and Jesus and rape and ....
Guys! What in the f*** are you thinking (pun intended)??? Yes, I forced myself to listen closer and after several times I got the the music was a political statement...but... Advertisers will tell you that you use "Power Words" to imprint "Imperitive (usually to buy)" subconsciously.
Then the video moves on to someone using a bull horn to shout to the crowd and lines of police officers. One thing stuck in my mind...
"We know 9/11 was an inside job. You people should learn it too!"
This is an arrogant communication in which you are saying "We know the truth and YOU PEOPLE should learn it too"... or else ... what?
9/11 is difficult to get your mind around. People are not stupid, just uniformed and brainwashed just like we all were. It is hard to break through the fog.
I understand that this is taken out of context and there were many good points made by the video. Please understand I offer this criticism to help you sharpen your tools, not to discourage you from using them.
However this is a big country and as of the July 1, 2006 the estimated population of the US is about 40 million people between 20-29 and 190 million between 30-70 nearly 4 times as many.
I think that if you fine tuned your background music and practiced a more helpful (less angry) and informative street presentation you will magnify your positive effect.
Best wishes, Mike

Thanx for the critique Mike. We are well aware of how controversial rap/hip-hop can be, and especially Immortal Technique's lyrics. We also understand that there are quite a few people out there, that can't/won't get past the bad language and beats to hear the message.
We will continue to refine and hone our skills to bring the truth out, and educate and inform the people.
As far as John Karlo's message on the bullhorn goes...
I disagree.
But remember, we all have different ways of spreading the message, and it's all of our efforts combined that will push the truth to the surface.

Oh... and the excerpt before the song isn't MLK.
